Term Description

COMPRESSION SET:

When a material has been subjected to a compressive force for a period of time, after the release of that force, the material will recover but not to the its original size.  The resultant deformation can be measured and is expressed as a percentage of the original size. This is an important consideration in the choice of Polyurethane for wheels and roolers etc.  A material with a low compression set will resist flat spots.
