Polyurethane linings have shown themselves to be exceptionally resistant to the severe abrasion encountered in metallic chutes where minerals, metals or grains are impacting and sliding in huge tonnages.  Careful selection of grade and angle design is required to optimize the material life.  Noise reduction is an additional and often significant advantage.
